Our service is simple: Perlico VoIP connects you to the worldwide public telephone system and allows you to make calls to any land or mobile telephone, worldwide from your PC over your broadband connection, just like you can do with your "normal" telephone.

What do I need to use Perlico VoIP?

All you need to use Perlico VoIP is your PC, Perlico Broadband and our Software Telephone program that's free to download from this site. Your PC will also need a microphone and speaker headset so that you can talk and hear your calls.

How do I start making calls with Perlico VoIP?

If you would like to start making calls now then simply sign up and go to our Free Software Telephone page to download and install our telephone program onto your PC and you can start make calls immediately. We will give you free credit of 25 cent so that you can start making calls straight away!

Is there a minimum call charge for each Perlico VoIP call?

There is a minimum call charge of 30 seconds for each call.

There are no line rental charge or recurring fees with Perlico VoIP.

What numbers can I dial?

You can dial domestic or international landlines or mobile phones. You can also dial Irish freephone (1800), LoCall (1890), CallSave (1850), national (1818) and personal (0700) numbers.

What numbers can I not dial?

You cannot dial any Irish premium or international premium service numbers (in Ireland these numbers begin with 15XX). You also cannot dial any directory enquiries, emergency or operator assistance services.

Can I access Emergency Service numbers?

No, There is no access to emergency service numbers. Please ensure that you have another form of emergency calling equipment (e.g. a mobile phone or a fixed line telephone) to cover such events.

How do I call a regular telephone?

Once you have signed up to Perlico VoIP and downloaded our softphone, you can simply type a phone number into the phone number field and then click dial.

How do I make payments?

When you need to top up your credit, simply click on the 'Add Funds' section and you can make payments with PayPal and your account will be credited instantly. Payments can be made with credit card only.

Yes. Perlico VoIP is strictly a prepay service only.

Can I view my usage and remaining balance online?

Yes. You can view full call records as well as your remaining funds. Simply log in to your Perlico VoIP account and you can access your details by clicking on the 'Call history' link on the menu.

How do I request a refund of credit paid?

You can try the Perlico VoIP service at no risk and with no commitment. If you are not happy with your Perlico VoIP experience, you can ask us for a refund of any credit purchased via Paypal. This excludes any free credit given to you by Perlico when you setup your account initially.

Please make sure you have a microphone and speaker connected to your computer and that they are working properly.

I am trying to make a call but I can't?

Please check your account balance before making a call. To call a specific destination you account balance needs to be in credit. Please check your account balance and the actual price for the destination.

Why was I disconnected in the middle of a call?

It's possible that the call was inadvertently terminated. This might be due to a bad line connection or that your account balance may be depleted. Please check your account balance.

Are my Perlico VoIP calls secure or encrypted?

No, calls from the public switched telephony network are not encrypted and as such, could be potentially subject to eavesdropping by law enforcement officials or other third parties over the public Internet.

What happens if I forget my password for my account?

If you forget your password, then simply click on the 'Forgotten your details? click here' link on the login section of the Perlico VoIP website and we will email your password to your email address.
