Do I need a landline to avail of Perlico broadband?
Yes. In order to get fixed-line broadband, you will need an active telephone line. If you have a line, but it is not active, you can contact Eircom to get this
activated. If you have no telephone infrastructure, you should contact Eircom to install this.
How long would it take to transfer my home phone and/or broadband to Perlico?
It takes up to 10 working days to transfer you home phone account, and up to 21 working days to transfer your broadband account. There is no downtime or
break in your service during this transition period.
Do I need to contact my existing supplier to tell them I am moving to Perlico?
No. We will take care of the entire transfer process. Your existing supplier will send you a final bill once the transfer is complete.
If you have a dial up account with another supplier, and order Perlico broadband, you would need to contact your supplier in order to cancel this, or the charges
for it will appear on your Perlico bill.
How easy is it to switch providers? Do I need to make lots of technical changes to my current setup?
Switching to Perlico couldn't be simpler. We take care of the transfer from your current supplier, and once our broadband is live, we will send you the new
username and password, which you will need to change in order to access our broadband. Full instructions on how to do this are included in the letter, and it is a
very quick and straightforward process. If you already have a modem, you can continue to use this with Perlico broadband. Alternatively, if you order a modem
from us, you can simply swap your old one with this new one, set the username and password on it, and everything will work exactly as it did before.
What information do I need to sign up?
The short online order form takes around five minutes to complete, and all you will require is your account number (UAN) from your current supplier, and
payment details. You can pay by either credit card or direct debit. Once your account is set up, you could also choose to pay via your Post Office, or online banking.
Details on how to do this are included on your first bill.
How long is the contract period?
The contract period is 12 months.
I have a contract with my existing supplier. Can I still transfer to Perlico?
You would need to contact your existing supplier, to ensure they do not have any penalties associated with breaking out of your contract before it expires.
This varies from supplier to supplier, but they will be able to give you all the details.
What happens to my Perlico account should I move house within the contract period?
You can move your Perlico account to your new address with no penalty. If you contact us as soon as you know you are moving, and let us know the new
address, we will take care of this for you.
Can I get broadband on my line?

Do you offer wireless broadband?
Yes. All Perlico broadband can be used wirelessly. You just need a wireless modem (also known as a router). If you order a Perlico broadband bundle online,
you can get a wireless modem for FREE. In order to use broadband wirelessly, your PC or laptop must be wireless-enabled.
Do I need to return my current modem to my old supplier when I switch to Perlico?
In general, no, but you should check with your supplier. If you do not need to send your existing modem back, you can use this with Perlico broadband.
Alternatively, you can order a new wireless modem for free when you order a Perlico broadband bundle online.
How often will Perlico bill me?
Perlico issue bills once a month, in advance. If you have signed up for online billing, you will receive an email to let you know when your latest bill is available online.
Why don't you offer higher speeds of broadband?
Most households in Ireland can currently only receive a maximum speed of up to 3MB. As these speeds increase, we will continue to offer the fastest speeds
available on your line.
Can I use my telephone and the internet at the same time with Perlico?
Yes! Perlico broadband can be used at the same time as the telephone.
What are the usage limits on Perlico broadband?
Our 1MB broadband has a usage allowance of 10GB per month, while up to 3MB packages have an allowance of 30GB per month. For a breakdown on

Can I access Perlico broadband from more than one computer?
Absolutely. If you have a wired modem, you will need to plug each computer into the modem. If you have wireless broadband, you can connect
multiple computers to this from anywhere in the house. In order to use broadband wirelessly, your PC or laptop must be wireless-enabled.
What does "free local and national calls" mean?
With Freetalk Anytime, or any of our home phone and broadband bundles, you will get free, unlimited calls to any landline within the Republic of Ireland.
This does not include mobile phones, or calls to premium rate numbers.
Which mobile networks can I call for free with the current Freedom offer?
You can call any Irish mobile network, so Vodafone Ireland, 02 Ireland, Meteor, 3 Ireland and Tesco Mobile Ireland are all included.
I don't pay my line rental. Can I transfer this to Perlico?
Absolutely. You can just deduct the cost of line rental from the total cost of whichever package you choose. For full details on the telephone allowance, and

I have services like call waiting, call answering, etc. on my current phone. Can I keep these when I move to Perlico?
You can! All services which are set up on your existing account will be automatically transferred to Perlico. Costs for these services will remain as they are with your current supplier.
