The Department of Social and Family Affairs may provide a monthly telephone allowance of up to €26.01 per month to the following customers:

• Customers over 70 years of age.
• Many customers over 66 years of age, who are in receipt of a social welfare pension.
• Customers in receipt of a disability allowance.
